Description

Okay I don't care if I used a ref of an actual guy I follow on tumblr like this, he looks exactly like Chalk and that's who this is. Too bad both the scanner and my camera makes it look grainy, I actually put a lot of effort into this one. But oh well, it looks good on paper as far as I'm concerned.

Chalk's my 2000-and-something year old baby vampire<3 He's sort of based of Marceline from Adventure Time, since he eats the colour red and can fly and change into a bat and gets burnt in the sun and stuff. I know, I'm unoriginal.

Chalk's the middle sibling, with a big sister (Anevir) and a little sister (Cesaelia). They were all born into a high class family with a ton of money. From a very early age Chalk was the 'troublesome' one in the family, as far as his parents were concerned. His parents believe their kind should only drink blood, so they would teach their children how to hunt. Unfortunately for Chalky the human he was trying to kill didn't die the first time around, and the experience scared him so much he now has an extreme fear of blood. His father very nearly killed him in his rage, but somehow over a period of time his family adjusted to his non-blood-drinking and life went on.

In his teenage years Chalk came to terms with the fact that he was gay. The only person he ever confided in while he still lived with his parents about this was Anevir, as they were extremely close. In fact Chalk never even broke the news to his parents when they were arranging for him to marry a young woman in the village they lived in at the time. So he married a young woman whose name isn't exactly important, and both families shared in their riches and other olden-days sorts of things. (You can see I'm being very detailed, I apologise.) But because the vampires never aged, they would have to move to a new town in order to keep their identities a secret. Chalk was aware that this meant he would probably have to leave his wife behind, but he never put much thought as to how his parents would arrange this. It shocked him greatly when they killed his wife to free him of all loose ends, and after that his relationship with his parents was well beyond repair. (Although he's tried to try and repair it. He's not the type to hold a grudge, especially not against family. But his parents are dicks, to put it bluntly.) Chalk never had much time to mourn however, as he was already being moved around the country and had several marriage proposals suggested to him by his parents. In the town they settled in Chalk met a young girl, who was definitely not the type of woman his parents would ever dream of him marrying, but they became extremely close friends. The girl confided in Chalk that she was pregnant, to a young boy who didn't even live in her village. The fact that she wasn't married, and was bearing the child on a near stranger would bring shame upon her family, so Chalk agreed to pretend he was the father. And so they got married. He was almost very nearly killed again by his parents, and narrowly escaped thanks to his sisters fighting for him.

But of course soon enough they all had to move on again, and Chalk fought hard to try and save his wife and her son. But in the end his parents only spared the child's life. And so they moved on again. Chalk vowed to raise the child as his own, which of course everyone bar Anevir thought was true anyway. But tragedy was soon to befall him for a third time when the child grew ill and died of natural causes. He was stuck in his depression for a very long time, and matters only seemed to get worse what with several dozen vampire hunter run-ins and the loss of Cesaelia's husband also.

The family thought that hope was coming their way when Anevir met a handsome young French man in their last stop as a whole family group. The man, however, was also a vampire, but he kept this fact well disguised. It would have been obvious to Anevir's parents had they ever met him, but she liked to keep things rather private when they were this new to her. The man however only saw her as an object of sex, and when Anevir refused to loose her innocence before marriage he vowed to get some bitter twisted revenge. Clearly he doesn't handle rejection all that well.

Being a vampire himself, he was well aware of the fact that if one of their kind drank the blood from a corpse they would succumb to madness. And one night he snuck into the families mansion, and tainted Anevir's glass with the blood of a dead man. Unaware of this she drank the glass's contents, and was left as a cold, heartless, blood thirsty monster. It was after this that the family completely divided. Chalk took Anevir away, and still to this day has her locked up, trying to cure her and bring her back to normal. Cesaelia lives close by, although her and Chalk aren't as close as they both were to Anevir.

Chalk found it hard to cope at first with trying to cure his sister. All of the equipment, and his experimenting and blood he would need to feed her (which is a difficult task for the little guy) cost a ton, and Chalk was very close to giving up when a life line appeared. From the very man that had brought the madness upon his sister in the first place. He bribed Chalk into becoming a prostitute, and with nowhere to turn to get any money he had to accept. He spent years arriving at whichever address he was told to, and performing whichever act of sexual pleasure he was told to, but despite that he never once felt guilty for doing it, because it was all in the name of trying to save his sister. It was on his way to one such address that he stumbled upon a rather ornate vase lying half buried in the ground. For the first time since the start of his 'job', he didn't go and in fact went to trade in the vase. It made him a substantial profit, and Chalk found himself dabbling in the antiques trading business. So much so that he no longer needed to sell his body to make money. He still sells antiques now, and he's rather good at it. In fact stepping into his house you might think it belonged to an 80 year old millionaire, rather than a young looking, very short not-quite-a-millionaire-yet-keep-up-the-good-work-tho.

Chalk sounds like he should be depressed as anything and bitter towards the world, but he's actually a generally happy, enthusiastic person. He hardly ever talks about his past, however, so maybe it's all a front. Whichever it is, he's always looking on the bright side of things.
